Lisäksi shorttaajat lähtökohtaisesti tasoittavat kurssiheilahteluja, koska ne mielellään myyvät lyhyeksi juurikin kuplaosakkeita ja keskimäärin edustavat ”fiksumpaa” rahaa. Tokihan omien osakkeiden hinnannousu on aina iloinen asia, mutta jossain vaiheessa varmuudella tulevista kuplien puhkeamisista on haitallisia yhteiskunnallisia seurauksia. Vääjäämättä seuraavista henkilökohtaisista konkursseista syntyy katkerien ja poikkinaisten ihmisten laumoja, jotka ovat valmiita sekä väkivaltaisuuksiin että vallankaappauksiin. Ja mikä vielä pahempaa, hylkäävät osakesijoittamisen loppuelämäkseen.

Itse olen samaa mieltä Aki Pyysinkin kanssa, että shorttaajat parantavat markkinoiden toimivuutta.
Shorttamiseen ei piensijoittajan kannata ryhtyä sillä sen riskit ovat vaikeammin ymmärrettäviä kuin perinteisten osakesijoittamisen.
